So per the advice of a few of my fellow blogger pals and boyfriend’s mother, I have decided to *attempt* to start a book club. I posted an ad on Craigslist, which you can find here if you feel so inclined. It’s written kind of…half assedly but I never know what to write on those things.
So to my fellow DC Bloggers, if you’re interested in a book club with a varied book taste - I’m thinking lighter reading but heavy enough to create a discussion (mayhaps we can alternate letting members pick the book of the month??) let me know and we’ll see if we can figure something out for April!

good luck with your book club! We started one here in California and we’re reading things that we normally wouldn’t choose. (we let each member pick a book and a place to meet each month so we try a new restaurant too).

Oh my goodness, I was JUST thinking about starting a book club in New York. There are SO many New York City bloggers, it would be so cool! AND, I was given the idea by my boyfriend’s mom too. Good luck!

Jason
Greetings,
I’m Jason and my partners and I have just launched a new website called Booksprouts.com. We’ve been working on this for a while as a free way for people to create book clubs and reading clubs, to choose books, create meetings, and discuss them both online and in person.
It’s a free service, and we’re looking to get the word out about it and get feedback from people. We’d really like to develop a community of people who like to read and improve it along the way.
Please have a look at http://www.booksprouts.com and feel free to write about it and use it if you like!
Regards,
Jason
