I am not a normal caffeine addict.
Seriously.
I drink soda. Usually one/day. Or two. I stopped for a while, around the time that lent began…then around beginning of May, late April I started drinking orange soda…only to find out that it too had caffeine and all my hard work giving it up? Was for nothing and I had fallen off the wagon.
Then this morning I was perusing my Google Reader and lo and behold I saw this:

Now granted, the premise of CarbonRally is about being green and cutting back on Carbon Emissions. But for me? Cutting back on the soda will be great for my health, my training regimen (hey Playful Professional care to go for a run or to the gym sometime this week or next? I’m working Wed PM, Thurs PM and Sun AM but any other day! Let me know when
), not to mention if there’s added benefits of all this being green stuff? I’m down.
How about you? You in?

I hear you about the caffeine. I switched to decaf last week, thinking I wouldn’t even notice. Um, hello!!??? Not pretty.
I don’t drink much soda though. I’m too busy guzzling down Grande Lattes. Does that mean my coffee habit is GOOD for the environment? I’ve been looking for some way to be green…

I’m definitely up for a run. What about Friday AM or Saturday any time? I’m definitely in need of a good run. Just let me know.

Can’t kick the soda habit - it’s impossible. Doesn’t lemonade have no caffeine in it though?

I used to drink 2-3 Pepsis a day. I’ve cut back significantly and can feel it in my health. I maybe have one soda each month. Now I crave water mostly, when I once craved Pepsi. It’s not as hard as you think quit soda. Odd tidbit: Eating Snickers makes me crave Pepsi. I don’t eat as many Snickers as I used to, either. Haha.

I have cut down on my soda A LOT and it’s been really good for me, I think! In fact, when I have a soda these days it makes me feel unpleasant and jittery. Besides the environment and health reasons, soda is one of those $1-here, $1-there habits that’s not good for your wallet, either! Go for it!

I drink waaaay too much coffee too. So much that after lunch I have to take 2 excedrin migraines (which have caffeine) because my morning coffee is starting to wear off. sad.

Pretty cool…I don’t drink soft drinks! I just drink coffee as it is, but definitely interesting and something to keep in mind, for sure.

I just realized I posted about the exact same thing yesterday, same title and everything. That’s just weird.
