This morning was quite a sight. A nice 1.5 mile run warm up (counts to my streak!) in 16 minutes outside in the humidity and holy humidity it was!
Today was a strength day so our warm-up run was the perfect length then we hit the gym for this:
Legs = shaky. That’s all I have to say about that. Great schweaty workout though! By the time we got to our last round, my legs were shaking so bad I could barely finish my mountain climbers!
This triathlon actually works out quite nicely in regards to timing here are my races for the next few weeks:
Zooma 10k 6/2
Dawsons Fathers Day 10k 6/17
Women’s Running Fest 5k 7/14
Menu for the week:
Tuesday: salad with crabcake
Wednesday: shrimp stirfry
Thursday: Tempeh Tacos
Friday: Out with my office to the Bowie Baysox
Saturday: Sushi night out thanks to Groupon!
Hubs likely leaves on Sunday for his two weeks of training to Missouri so I’ll be on my own running, biking, swimming and you know, pumping iron. I’m planning on laying low for the two weekends he’ll be gone and get in some pool deck time and stick with my training plan. I’ve learned, mostly through my own mistakes, that training properly is the key to success and while my goal is to merely finish the triathlon, it’s also to finish without injury.
