Hearting Sweat

by Heidi on July 10, 2012

First things first.

Let’s weigh in here.

Weekly high: 141.2
Weekly low: 137.2
Today: 140.2

I don’t need to do that math but that’s about a six pound increase from my 134 low a few weeks ago. *#)$(&!!!!! This means for the marathon weight loss challenge instead of 13.1, I have like 17 something pounds to lose by the middle of September. Balls.

Things that will be getting seriously cut back:
orange crushes. yuengling. beer. other beer. Rams Head trips. Jetty trips. Menchies trips. Fro Yo. Taco Bell. Chipotle trips. Robeks trips.  Cupcakes.

Things that will be getting increased:
Running. Biking. Swimming. Water.

I almost said re-added but it’s not like I took them away. I just…cut back on the wrong things. Whoops.

Dear scale,

I love you. Forgive me. I can make it up to you. I promise baby.

Me

(that sounds like some sort of bad abusive relationship doesn’t it? Maybe…it is but not in the obsessive compulsive kind of way)

With the exception of an orange crush date I have on Sunday, no drinking this week. No more weeknight drinking. Just no.

I know people say deprivation leads people to doing the opposite (in this case gorging yourself) but in my case I need to learn my limits because sometimes I don’t know when to say no.

In other fun things…

(I’m a real healthy living blogger now mom! Kidding! Kind of…)

Yes, I too heart sweat. So many thanks Ali for creating this piece of awesomeness. Well, for selling this piece of awesomeness. It’s a Brooks shirt from their Run Happy line which I adore. Almost as much as my lululemon cool racerbacks. Which I have in just about every color of the rainbow.

Confession: I’m so infatuated with the shirt, I worked out in it yesterday for our BRICK. Then worked out in it this morning. Then I threw it in the washer this morning so I can wear it tomorrow. I probably should have bought two.

Workouts

Yesterday

8 mile ride; 40 minutes
The huffster is slow. What can I say. She likes the 10-12 mph pace.
2 mile run; 25 minutes
I kept the running part to 9:30-10:00/mi pace which is what I aspire to run on Saturday and for the tri, but hubs and I took a 3 minute walking break at our turn around point so my overall pace seems a lot slower.

Today

3.5 mile run; 39 minutes

I was so excited about todays run because it was in like the low 70′s when I rolled out of bed. Then we were about a mile in and going up a hill and I wanted to die. The humidity was so thick you could cut it with a knife. It was rough. But

Tonight? Yoga on the beach. BEACH BEACH BEACH. #winning.
