Since last week was so awesome doing yoga outside, and Tuesday when I got home from work there was still not a cloud in sight, we planned on going to free yoga again.
Don’t let mother nature fool you with that no cloud thing. By the time we left, the skies were turning gray and I prayed to the rain gods that they’d hold off for just one more hour.
They didn’t.
We walked onto the beach a minute or two after they started.
Within ten minutes the heavens opened up and we soaked to the bone. There is nothing more heart opening though, than reverse down dog with your heart just completely open to the pouring rain. If that doesn’t ail your soul then I don’t know what will.
Chattarunga on a mat filled with puddles? No worries. Tree pose as the rain lets up and eases to a sprinkle and savasana with the rain sprinkling your face and body as you breathe a sigh of relief that it’s over. The guy behind Annapolis Yoga was actually practicing as well and he wrote a much better post about it and the gracefulness of the instructor than I ever could. Needless to say Christine (the instructor) was awesome, the class was awesome, but it ended and we were cold. Very very cold.
We had a nice dinner of asparagus risotto and crab cake salad (omg. So delicious.).

It was the perfect end to the night – we camped out on the couch with cozy inside clothes that indicate autumn not July.
