Hubs and I celebrated the superbowl at home, in the comfort of our sweat pants. We cooked up some beer brats (for him), bought some cupcakes (for both of us – mostly me…) and busted out one of our favorite wing recipes circa Papa Schmidt (we don’t really call my father-in-law that but to differentiate him from Hubs, we’ll roll with it
)

{Honey BBQ Wings}
12 wings cut in half (about 2 lbs)-makes 24 pieces (we used regular wings. Still made about 2 dozen)
1/4 cup honey
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp catsup
1 tbsp lemon juice (we used half a fresh lemon)
1 tbsp corn startch
1/2 tsp garlic powder
4. Place wings on slitted oven tray. Brush occasionally with marinade. Turn wings after 20-30 minutes, brush with marinade and cook for additional 20-30 minutes depending on the desired level of crispiness.
