This year…

In 2012 I will…

Run 12 races by December 2012. (i have my first 3 picked out in Feb, March and April!)
Spend three whole months not shopping (do not need to be consecutive – by December 2012)
Complete a 30 day workout challenge each quarter (January, April, July and October) otherwise:
Workout 3 days per week also keep food journal 5 days per week.
Ace my HTML/CSS Class and pick up 5 freelance clients by the end of the year (by May 2012/December 2012)
Be a Certified Personal Trainer by the end of the year with five clients (by August 2012).
Blog 5 days per week
Design a new Life in Pink that better reflects me and where I’m going. (by June 2012)
Participate in Project 365 – because I just got a fancy new camera for Christmas, this will actually inspire me to use it!

 

In 2011 I resolve to…

1. Run a sub 2 hour half marathon and a sub 5 hour marathon.
2. Take the GMAT exam
3. Lose that twenty pounds. I lost 15 in 2010. Gained 5-10 back when we moved to Maryland in November. Goal weight: 120.
4. Read 52 books
5. Cook one new recipe a month
6. Coach in some facet, either with Girls on the Run or with a local high school.
7. Work harder to get myself out of debt enrolled in a debt management program, will be out of credit card debt in 3 years and 10 months :D
8. Run 12 races.

In 2010 I resolve to…

1. Complete the History classes needed to get my certification and get into a certification program, or get a job at a private school. Changed career path :)
2. Run 2 marathons (ran 1) a 1/2 marathon, 10 miler, 10k , a 5 miler and 5k. I will run these. I will PR in each. (Race for Haiti 4 miler, NYRR 8000m, VT City on 5/30/10; Fitness Magazine Women’s Half Marathon 4/25/10, Dash and Splash 10k, Wall Street 3 miler, Last Run of the Year 5k)
3. Lose 20 lbs. I will do this. I will: by eating better, running more and working out 5 days/week. Follow my adventures hereLost 15. Then gained 5-10 back. Wamp wamp.
4. Read 50 books this year. (Hubs and I are starting a challenge.) FAIL.
5. Cut our debt in half this means cutting back on EVERYTHING. FAIL
6. Join Junior League. (was a member of JLSN, am in the process of transferring my membership to the JLA)
7. Start freelancing (again…hire me!) FAIL. Also: blog more. I let my mood get me into bloggy ruts and well, I just don’t like that so I’m going to try to blog 5 times/week. Did not freelance (wamp wamp) however, did blog some more. Some less.
8. Start a chapter of this non-profit in Fairfield County. {done! kicked off on 9/16/2010!!!}
9. Go BlogHer 2010 in NYC.
10. Send my brother at least 6 care packages while he’s in Afghanistan. Also: This. (0/6) FAIL – WORST SISTER EVER
11. Stay in touch with friends/family: write a letter twice/month, call my grandparents every other week, have lunch with my dad at least once/month (0/24; 0/26; 0/12) FAIL
12. Complete either JaNoWriMo or NaNoWriMo. FAIL
13. Cook one new recipe/month. So that’s 12 new recipe’s for 2010. I’ll post them here to hold myself accountable! Also, I’m taking on Menu Monday’s! (0/12) FAIL

In 2009 I will….

1. Run 2 marathons – I only ran 1, but I PR’ed at my hometown race! But I did run a 10k, and a 10 miler!
2. Lose 20 lbs – gained like…five. But! I’m working with a trainer so I can lose that weight
3. Find a career I love… Pursing careers in secondary education (private schools) and/or a masters in education. I’ll get there but I know what I’m after!
4. Read 52 books – I started #49 the other day! Though, there were two books I started that I just couldn’t get into. So total books read = 47
5. Pay down half of my credit cards (at least!) – omg. with all the unemployment we’ve faced this year we’re lucky we didn’t go bankrupt (and no that’s not because of my shopping.)
6. Complete NaNoWriMo – Ugh. I tried. I got to 8k words and just…lost my motivation. I’m convinced it’s because I’ve been battling the blues since we moved to CT. There is however a JaNoWriMo. I’ll try that to make up for my lack of NaNo-ing. And try NaNo again in November.
7. Attend BlogHer in Chicago – went and OMG it was AMAZING! See you all in 2010 in NYC???
8. Do a Detox at least once every other month – I should have known this was impossible and a hilarious attempt at being “trendy.” FAIL.
9. See family more than 3 times/year… I saw them in: May, July, September, November and December. In addition: I’ve seen my dad twice in NYC since moving to CT, and my sister and mother came to visit separately also. We’re also going to VT in January for some collegiate hockey.
10. Run a half marathon/10 mile/5k/10k (in addition to 2 marathons) (GW Parkway 10 miler: 4/26/09 1:58:30; Capitol Hill Classic 10k 5/17/09 59:0? (my chip was defunct – a problem many had so my time is unknown but i do know i finished in under an hour). I didn’t run the 5k or 1/2 marathon but this year I will.

In 2008…I resolved to…

2008 Resolutions
1. Lose 20lbs
2. Race again Hartford Marathon 10/11/08
3. Find a job I love and/or start worthwhile career
4. Move back north by 2009 likely 2010 :(
5. Go on vacation with boyfriend
6. Write more
7. Stay in touch with friends and family better
8. Pay off half of credit card debt.
9. Pay bills on time. Pay more than minimum payment.
10. Complete Blog365 quit in august. whoops?
11. Read 100 50 books.
