Detox Day 1

Day 1. Complete. Finishing up with some herbal tea (not sure if Irish Breakfast with a dash of lemon is herbal but it’s good enough for me)

For breakfast I had a banana, a glass of water and a clementine when I got to work.

I had some blueberries and blackberries as a midmorning snack.

Around 1230 I had lunch of plain brown rice with a splash of lemon juice, a salad with lemon juice dressing (i could have used olive oil but well…i forgot and lemon juice was all I could hijack from the fridge) and a clementine.

Around 4p I had snack of more berries and another clementine.

We cooked dinner as soon as we got home – it’s very unusual for us to have cooked and eaten by 8pm but I made some veggies into a stir fry, cooked with some garlic and a splash of extra virgin olive oil, with some chinese rice noodles and we fried some sushi grade tuna. I had a smaller portion of the steak.

Filling. I still feel a bit hungry. I’ve been drinking a lot of water but I can definitely feel a headache lingering that’s been around for most of the day.

Now I’m sipping my tea (which would be better if it had sugar in it). Four more days to go. Next time I’m going to shoot for a 7 day detox – I’m sure the effects will be greater, most of what I’ve read about them have them going for 7-14 days. At least I was busy at work today to keep my mind of my hunger. My coworker walking by with a lean cuisine of lasagna didn’t help as i brought my plain brown rice to the microwave *sigh*
