Shrinking Jeans!

I noticed on a blog on my google reader that there’s a new challenge and if there’s one thing I Lurrrrve, it’s blogging challenges – be they posting challenges, reading challenges…any challenge.

This one runs from March 25th to May 20th (fiance’s birthday!!) and is called the Shrink into Summer challenge put on by the Sisterhood of the shrinking jeans.

It requires a weigh in every wednesday, with a chance to win a variety of prizes. For me this is good. I need to keep running, I need to get back on my schedule. I keep meaning to but it’s just been a major FAIL on my part. Not to mention I’m going to Boston this weekend to do wedding stuff, and then since Fiance’s grandmother is not doing well we’re spending a few days in Connecticut for the first part of next week.

In addition to the normal Wednesday Weigh-ins, we will also be giving you a weekly mini-challenge to participate in, something to focus on and strive for. Make sure to check back in on Sunday for details of the first weekly mini-challenge. Each mini-challenge will run from Sunday to Saturday, and some of them will also involve prizes! See, we’re gettin’ all gifty on ya!

My goal? To lose a few pounds, to fall in love with my arms, and of course to run a marathon. All of this is going to require eating better, running more, and getting back to shredding. Not out of the realm of possibility but it’ll take some work. Thats okay, I’m a go-getter.

Current weight? 141 not bad. Definitely down some since the beginning of the year when I was nearly 150, for a midget like me this is nothing to be proud of. Ideally I’d love to lose 15 pounds, which is not entirely impossible. Of course, I don’t want to lose too much weight since my wedding gown fits me, surprisingly well and doesn’t need much altering aside from some hemming. I just really want to tone up and shred some of the flab that’s gathered over the winter months. Totally doable.

I was at 145 in November and miserable because I’m pretty short (understatement). I’m finally back down to about 126-127, my healthy weight and happy about it. But I’d love to do this and keep myself accountable. Thanks for the idea.

Well, I missed the start of this, but since I weigh in on Wednesdays for Weight Watchers, I’ll act like I’m going along! I’m basically trying to get back in shape and get toned for the summer.
