Shrink into summer week 6

by Heidi on May 7, 2009

I’m staying strong with my workouts. I’m still running – I have TWO long runs left, I’m doing a 4 hour run this weekend – i’m not going to go with any expectations, I’ve been sticking with the workouts, so even though I haven’t been running steadily for the past three months as I should have, I do feel in shape enough to get it done. I’m not going with mileage expectations because well, I haven’t really been doing the whole mileage thing this time around.

Monday I started the 30 day shred, skipped it Tuesday and Wednesday so I’ll start it over with the Sisterhood – I want to see what I can do. I was certainly feeling it – especially in my legs – through most of the day yesterday.

The pounds, unfortunately, aren’t coming off as I’d like. I need to step it up with eating better, that’s the next step.

week 1: Week 1: 141
Week 2: n/a
Week 3: 142
Week 4: 142.5
Week 5: 142
week 6: 142

Talk about frustrating! Since last week, I ran last thursday, shredded Monday, went to spinning on Wednesday and tonight I’m running and doing weights. Tomorrow I’ll rest, maybe do yoga (and/or shred?). Additionally, I’ve taught two abs classes and the likelihood of teaching one more tonight is high. I don’t just teach…I do. I’m starting to see the results of that, so while the pounds aren’t flying off, I’m feeling in shape, and I’m starting to see the results in my waistline. My belly is looking more in shape…clearly I still have a long ways to go but I’m getting there.

Maybe I shouldn’t just rely on a number…

Goal for the last two weeks? I’d love to break 140. That’s two to three pounds. Not horrible, doable…if I eat right. I’ve been prioritizing breakfast – we all know it’s the most important meal of the day. This weekend? Sneaker shopping! (I need a new pair of sneaks before the race and I need time to break them in).
